Hayward Unified School District faces a critical budget deficit and has announced a series of community town hall-style meetings to share information and gather input on potential solutions to address the shortfall.
The first in the series of four in-person meetings will take place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at Cherryland Elementary School, 456 Laurel Ave.
District leadership will deliver a presentation, take questions and receive feedback on the current budget situation at HUSD, which is similar to fiscal challenges faced by many other districts in the Bay Area and across the state.
All four meetings are open to HUSD families, staff and the broader community and will take place across the district on weeknights and weekends. Community members are encouraged to attend any meeting that is most convenient to them.
