Juneteenth Crafternoon! For Kids Age 6-12

Saturday, June 14, 2:00 p.m., Downtown Library

Celebrate Juneteenth a little early with a meaningful story and hands-on creativity! We’ll begin with a short read-aloud to help kids learn about the history and importance of Juneteenth—a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom and African American culture. After the story, children will create their own Juneteenth-inspired craft stick flags and beaded unity bracelets.

All materials provided. This is a free program for kids age 6-12. Come learn, reflect, and create together!
