Southbound Hesperian Boulevard closure south of A Street to Skywest Drive 

Southbound Hesperian Boulevard is closed to traffic south of A Street to Skywest Drive as temporary road repairs are made following discovery of a damaged wastewater line beneath the roadway. 

A traffic control plan is in place to reroute traffic off of southbound Hesperian Boulevard before A Street and to accommodate drivers trying to reach locations along the boulevard. 

The roadway was failing due to erosion stemming from the damaged wastewater line. The erosion was discovered by City crews called to the scene in response to reports of a hole in the roadway and before a more serious sinkhole could develop. 

Southbound Hesperian is expected to be closed until at least noon Monday, June 3.
