Ceremonial Pride Flag raising—Noon, Thursday, June 11, Hayward City Hall Plaza 

In recognition of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) Pride Month, the City of Hayward will host a ceremonial raising of the Intersex-Inclusive Progress Pride flag at 12 p.m. this Thursday, June 11, at Hayward City Hall Plaza.

Keep our furry friends safe: Don't use fireworks

With the Fourth of July holiday approaching, the City of Hayward encourages residents to be good neighbors, celebrate safely and follow the City’s fireworks ban: All forms of fireworks are illegal in Hayward. People caught using fireworks are subject to criminal citation and owners of property where illegal fireworks activity takes place are subject to fines.

Enforcement of parking time limits downtown starts July 1
