Hayward Police Department Community Academy returns Sept. 11 

The Hayward Police Department Community Academy, which gives its adult participants an inside view of Hayward Police Department operations, is returning in September and registration is open. 

This eight-session, certified educational program offers a comprehensive exploration of law enforcement and insight into the intricacies of policing in Hayward while fostering community-police relationships and understanding. 

The Hayward Police Department Community Academy is open to anyone 18 years of age or older who is a resident of or employed in the City of Hayward. 

Classes will be held at HPD’s North Hayward Resource Center, 22701 Main Street, Hayward, beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11.
