Get ready to say hello to a beautified Weekes Branch Library in the spring!
The branch will be closed for remodeling through the end of March 2025
Our beloved South Hayward branch library, the Weekes Branch, has been in need of a little TLC for some time now. This major remodel will include landscaping for outdoor programming, new fences and foliage, new furniture and decor, new kids' computers, and of course new carpets and a fresh coat of paint.
The City authorized the use of Community Development Block Grant funds and special revenue sources to fund these improvements. We appreciate your patience as we update our "little library that could!" And in the meantime, any items you checked out at the branch can be returned to the Downtown Library, and of course you're always welcome to use our Virtual Branch 24/7/365. |
