The Keep Hayward Clean and Green Task Force presents its annual Senior Front Yard Assistance Program later this summer—and the application deadline for qualifying community members has been extended to Tuesday, June 6.

The annual Senior Front Yard Assistance Program will take place on Saturday, Aug. 19, the weekend before National Senior Citizens Day—and is open to all residents 62 years of age and up who reside within the boundaries of incorporated Hayward.

Through this once-a-year Keep Hayward Clean and Green Task Force-sponsored program, senior residents receive help with basic front yard such as mowing, weeding and raking and neighborhoods are beautified.

The program is not intended for tree and trash removal, and all work is performed by community volunteers.
