The Hayward City Council later this month will consider adopting legislation requiring smaller residential construction projects to be designed in a manner that provides for accessibility for everyone, regardless of age or ability.

Hayward now accepting applications for no-cost programs to reduce wildfire risk

In an ongoing effort to reduce wildfire risk in high-hazard areas, the Hayward Fire Department is accepting applications for its annual No-Cost Residential Chipping Program and associated Residential Assistance Program taking place June 2 to July 1 or until funding is depleted.
