Songs from the Stack: Rise Up Hayward with Artist Brittany Tanner
Saturday, July 27, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon
Experience "Rise Up, Hayward" from the "Songs from the Stack" series at Hayward Library. This powerful anthem, born from community workshops, calls on our youth and families to unite and support one another. Feel the spirit of collective empowerment through this inspiring track.
Bring your journal, a yoga mat, and/or something that grounds you.
The purpose of this workshop series is to foster a sense of community and collective empowerment within the city of Hayward, specifically targeting the Hayward youth and their families, collaborating with local non-profit organizations and institutions. Through a unique blend of community dialogue, self-affirmation exercises, and transformative music creation, the program aims to create a space where participants can bear witness to collective struggles, thereby forging stronger connections and understanding among community members.
