Do you want to learn how to use computer programs like Google Docs, Google Sheets, or Google Slides? Participate in a Google Suite Workshop! You'll learn how to use one of the programs mentioned above to accomplish specific tasks. 

These workshops are drop-in, and registration is not required; we do recommend it, though, since space is limited.

Fixit Clinic

Fixit Clinic is a fun, community-based workshop where neighbors, friends, and families work collectively to learn how to repair broken items. We’ll provide a workspace, specialty tools, and volunteer coaches to help you troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance to your household items and appliances.

Tiny Quilt Workshop and Fabric Swap

Come learn how to hand-stitch a tiny "crumb quilt" mug rug! Only basic hand sewing skills are needed; all tools and supplies for making one tiny quilt will be provided.

This event is also a fabric, craft supply, and crafting tool swap. Don't worry if you don't have anything to swap... we still want you here! But if you do, please bring it along.

A representative from Spectrum Community Services will be on site to accept applications and answer questions about the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).  

Do you need to improve your keyboard skills? Join our Typing Club! Practice your keyboard skills and improve your typing speed and accuracy. With the guidance of a dedicated volunteer tutor, access different online programs and resources to improve your typing skills.

Cole Thomason-Redus, Educational Content Curator for the San Francisco Opera, presents a historical and musical survey of Black voices in American opera. Thomason-Redus will explore the careers and recordings of pioneers and mid-century superstars, along with other modern-day masters of the American opera stage.

Curious about the Makerspace? Join us at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday mornings for a tour. You'll learn about our equipment and our requirements for using the Makerspace, and see what kinds of things you can make here!

Tours are first come, first served with a limit of 15 guests per tour. Children must be 7 or over to join the tour, and must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

Palo Alto VA Mobile Medical Outreach Team
Thursday, June 13, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Hayward Veterans Memorial Hall

The VA Palo Alto Mobile Medical Outreach Team to facilitate examinations, consultations, and referrals for veterans who are enrolled in the VA healthcare system. They will also assist veterans and their spouses, caregivers, family members, and survivors with information about veteran enrollment for VA healthcare.

English Conversation Circles

English Conversation Circles are designed for adults who are looking for a supportive and fun environment to practice their English-speaking skills. The goal is to strengthen conversational skills, while building confidence and community with other adults whose native language is not English.
