You have been nominated to serve on the Russell City Reparative Justice Project Steering Committee!
So what does this mean? If you are elected, you will be expected to attend monthly meetings during the current phase (II) of the project. These meetings will be approximately 2-3 hours long. You will also be expected to communicate with other community members outside of the monthly meetings, which could account for another 3-5 hours per week. In the next phase (III) of the project, the Steering Committee will
set its own meeting schedule and due to the nature of the work that needs to be completed, the number of hours working outside of the meetings may increase to 5-7 hours per week.
If you wish to accept the nomination you have two tasks to complete:
- Reply YES to this email to accept (or reply NO to decline)
- Complete the nominee survey by noon on Monday, Oct. 17.
If you accept the nomination, you will be given the opportunity to speak for two minutes about your qualifications at the next community Zoom meeting on Thursday, Oct. 20. The voting period will begin on Friday, Oct. 21.
