Thank you to everyone who attended the July 24, 2024 town hall meeting. Over 70 people attended to share input on the first two (2) proposals on:

  1. Property Restoration

Online Public Comment   

Public comment for these proposals will start on August 1, 2024 and will end on August 17, 2024. Please visit https://www.hayward-ca.gov/rcrjp-portal during these dates to share your comments, and expect to receive and email reminder. Next Town Hall Meeting (July 31) 

The next town hall will be on Wednesday, July 31 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. If public comment ends early, the meeting will end early as well. The meeting will be held via Zoom, see below for access information. Spanish interpretation will be provided.

Meeting Goals 


Tomorrow’s town hall discussion will focus on getting community feedback on the following in relation to property restoration and affordable housing development: 

  • Eligibility criteria (and related processes to verify who is eligible), 

  • Description of the reparative justice recommendation, and  

  • Goals and objectives of the reparative justice recommendation.
