Light Up the Season holiday celebration returns to Hayward City Hall Dec. 6 

Hayward’s annual tree-lighting ceremony and holiday festival, Light Up the Season, will return to the City Hall Rotunda and Plaza Dec. 6 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Hayward City Hall displays green lights in rotunda to celebrate Veterans Day 

The interior of the Hayward City Hall rotunda will be illuminated in green tonight in recognition of Veterans Day.

Apply for a U.S. Passport on Passport Day at the City Clerk’s Office, Monday, Nov. 24 

The Hayward City Clerk’s Office is increasing capacity for processing U.S. Passport applications and extending hours for appointments on Passport Day, Monday, Nov. 24, on the fourth floor of Hayward City Hall from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Arandas, Jalisco, México becomes Hayward’s sixth Sister City 

On Tuesday, July 1, the City of Hayward entered into a Sister City agreement with the Municipality of Arandas, Jalisco, México.  

City of Hayward to adjust services, operating hours around November holidays 

Reminder: City Hall is closed, and nonessential municipal services are paused for Veterans Day today, Nov. 11. City Hall will reopen, and municipal services will resume their normal schedule tomorrow, Nov. 12. More information on this closure is available here.
