City of Hayward opens Community Agency Funding process for FY 2026-2028 awards 

The City of Hayward has published a notice of funding availability for community-based projects to be implemented July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2028.


A mandatory Bidders' Conference will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025. Meeting details are provided on the Notice of Funding Availability page here. Applicants must be a registered non-profit through the California Secretary of State or a government organization. Those who cannot attend the mandatory Bidders’ Conference are encouraged to reach out to staff.


In Spring 2026, the City of Hayward Community Agency Funding Program will award federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to successful applicants for eligible community and economic development activities in Hayward. Subject to available funding, the City may also award grants from the Social Services General Fund, Opioid Settlement Remediation Funds and Measure BB Paratransit program to projects and services that benefit low-income Hayward residents.
